Howard Cass is no newcomer to the indoor tanning business.

In fact, Cass first started in the business back in 1978. He opened Le Soleil, the first business of its kind in Coconut Grove, Fla., “as a lark,” he says.

“We sold bathing suits, mineral oil-based tanning lotions, sunglasses and breath mints.
