A Lil’ Bit Goes a Long Way

No one could be more proud, enthusiastic or insightful about the new line of Devoted Creations products than the company’s president, Lewis Henry. As this dynamic lotion and skincare brand enters a new year, they do it with an impressive list of new benefits and client-winning panache. In this Smart Tan Exclusive interview, Henry shares his reel of highlights for 2015.

Q: Which 2015 are you most excited about releasing?

A: I think one of our to sellers this year is going to be a product called Le Moment. This lotion is an unbelievably high-quality anti-aging, moisturizing tan optimizer. The packaging is spot on with golds, browns and earth tones on half the label, and a python texturized bottle on the other half. It uses our patented Cashmere Blend 24-hour hydration system, which has been a huge hit since it was released two years ago.

Another personal favorite of mine is Crazy Sexy Beautiful. It’s really one of my favorites because it has a new twist that reflects what I foresee to be a new trend. Crazy Sexy Beautiful has a refreshing essence so you don’t feel the heat when you’re done tanning — you feel like you just got out of the shower. And it’s incredible when it comes to hydration, which I think will be another big trend for the upcoming season.

Q: Devoted Creations is also partnering with Taylor Wright of “Party Down South.” How will that collaboration impact the industry?

A: Our new product Lil’ Bit Country is endorsed by Taylor Wright, the reality television personality and singer/songwriter. I think it’s going to be a great hit with people in the tanning market because we have overlooked the country dem0graphic of the tanning industry. While we have appealed to a vast range of people. nothing has ever really gotten into the country music demographic. Taylor has fans who really appreciate what she stands for, and she wants her fans to know about how great this product is. She uses it, loves it, and is always talking about it through her social media.

There has already been so much demand for her product because it’s something new and refreshing. Just judging by the social media response, it appeals to a vast amount of tanning salon owners, manager and employees — not to mention their clients! Devoted Creations is known as a high-end, trendy, high-fashion lotion and skincare brand, so this is new territory for us. The demand before the initial launch was spectacular, and I can’t wait to see how this year goes. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a line expansion by January or February.
