Life on the Sun E Side

In 1996, Maggie Curran was living in Los Angeles and working in outside sales. She was contacted by a headhunter to interview with a major lotion manufacturer and was thrilled, as she was an avid tanning and huge fan of tanning products.Now the director of sales for Sun Evolutions, she loves being involved in product development, mentoring her sales department and working closely with her distribution network. In a Smart Tan exclusive interview, she shares product information and the benefits of selecting Sun Evolutions products.

Q:  Sun Evolutions has a lot of lotion names that derive from pop culture or are a play on words. What do you hope to accomplish from doing this?

A: When it comes to lotions in the indoor tanning industry every year people are looking for and excited to see what is new. Therefore, as a manufacturer, we have to constantly come up with new things that are timely and fun every year, and tapping into the current trends with our names and marketing is  a great way to do so. Some may be more relatable to the younger millennial tanner or salon employee, while others resonate with a slightly older demographic. We think it’s most important to offer a wide range of options so there is something that will appeal to everyone within our product lineup.
