In today’s world of constant offers and sales, people are conditioned to wait to buy until they see a deal. Here are four tips for developing an offer that will make customers jump:

  1. Package the bait. First, you need a unique selling proposition. What makes your offer better than that of the competition?
  2. Mention the savings. Don’t assume that the customer is perceptive enough to know a good deal when they see it. Always show them exactly how much they’re saving.
  3. Throw in an incentive. The perceived value of the little extras is usually much greater than what it will actually cost you. Throwing in a freebie that doesn’t cost you much at all can give customers the impression that they better take advantage of the offer while they have the chance.
  4. Create a sense of urgency. Always set a deadline. If a deal appears to be ongoing, it leaves room for hesitation, but if you offer a good value and force people to make a decision, they’re going to buy more often than not.
